Top 10 Celebrity Weddings 2012

Heeeeellllloooo ladies! Oh how I’ve missed you! I really, really do hope you’ve had a great Christmas with your loved ones and your soon-to-be husband. For many, this will have been your first and only engaged Christmas {as you may well be a married lady next Christmas} exciting times! So as our year draws to a close it’s always fun to take a look back at celebrity weddings, from the weird and wacky to the down right wonderful… this is my Top 10 Celebrity Weddings 2012.

Hitting my number 10 spot is Lady Mary Charteris. She married musician Robbie Furze in this cray-zy wedding gown, designed by Pam Hogg. Some fans have described this outrageous wedding gown as one of the most fashionable wedding gown ever. I don’t care if this is fashion, who wants to look this shocking on their wedding day. Not me. Are you a fan? {p.s LOVE the flowers though}

In at number 9 is the long awaited wedding of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. Whilst Justin looks hot, hot, hot in his Tom Ford suit, I just can’t help feeling let down by Jessica Biel’s missed opportunity to look AMAZING. I mean, she is a seriously gorgeous woman and could have worn her pick of amazing wedding gowns but chose this pink fluffy custom-made Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. Personally, I’m not a fan…

In at number 8 we have Jade Jagger who kept it simple by designing her own wedding dress and wearing pretty white flowers in her hair! She seems to have been slightly upstaged by her own ma and pa

At number 7 we have the wedding of Prescilla Chan to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerburg. Priscilla opted for a beautiful Claire Pettiboneillusion neckline wedding gown. Enough said.

At number 6 we finally have a Brit! Rochelle Wiseman from the Saturdays wed Marvin Humes from JLS at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Such a gorgeous, gorgeous modern wedding and I’m loving Rochelle’s romantic Vera Wang dress. Pure perfection.

In at number 5 is Natalie Portman marrying her long term partner in a traditional Jewish ceremony. The couple married in the Big Sur under a chuppah and a canopy of stars. Natalie looks a.dorable in her modest Rodarte gown with pretty sheer sleeves.

At number 4 we have another Brit in the form of Peaches Geldof. I think she looks incredible in her whimsical, vintage inspired gown by Italian designer Alberta Ferretti and I love, love, love her floral daisy crown. The wedding was described as English Country meets A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

At number 3 we have the eternally cute Drew Barrymore. I simply adore the black and white Chanel number {so chic} and her brightly coloured bouquet featuring cherry blossoms, pink peonies, pink garden roses and pink spray roses. And the perfect accessory? Drew’s baby bump of course. Cute.

At number 2 is the ridiculously gorge Anne Hathaway. First of all, we were treated to a few grainy shots that merely whet the appetite for even more peeks of the happy couple. Anne appeared at sunset with her new husband Adam Shulman in a beautiful, vintage inspired, off the shoulder Valentino wedding gown. I adore her dramatic veil and the vintage designed headpiece. De-light-ful.

So who’s at the number 1 spot? Well, with celebrity wedding designer Martha Stewart behind you it’s not hard to get to the number one spot. Blake Lively and Ryan Renolds tied the knot in a beautiful plantation house, set in Southern Carolina. Details of the gorgeous couples wedding were only recently revealed in the winter edition of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Lucky guests were treated to the scrummy dessert buffet {pictured above} and Blake’s wedding bouquet {pictured below} looks and sounds amazing! Pink jasmine, andromeda, dusty miller and blushing bride hydrangea, dipped in rose-gold glitter to match her gown. And speaking of Blake’s wedding gown, I’m afraid this is the one and only image that’s been released to the public. Pictured holding handswith Ryan, Blake’s Marchesa gown was described as a cloudlike, silk tulle gown featuring crystals and rose-gold embroidery. The stuff wedding dreams are made of huh?
