Roses & Peonies | Champagne & Dusty Pink: Real Wedding
Happy weekend ladies! And what a glorious one we are having here in the UK! Yesterday, in the baking heat, the hubs and I walked part of the green chain walk. We set off at 12.30pm and didn’t get back until 19.00, ok, ok there were a few watering holes we “might” have rested in along the way…
Anyway, I hope you are somewhere enjoying the beautiful weather and that you also get to enjoy this eye wateringly romantic wedding that’s on the blog today…
Azadeh & Malek married in western Australia and their elegant, timeless wedding was captured by the very talented Hazel of Hazel Buckley Photography.
Seriously, these images are going to make you swooooon! [also, there is a fantastic WTW reader offer where you could have Hazel photograph your wedding, more details on all that at the end of the post]. But for now, enjoy this beautiful wedding where the flowers [ivory, champagne & dusty pink rose and peonies] are the main focus…
Before I went to Donna Tobin, I had no particular dress in mind. Donna showed me what she can do with lace and silk, which I loved. My dress was inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding dress, with the beautiful long lace sleeves, because it’s poised, elegant and a timeless classic.
We were married in a Baha’i ceremony where prayers were said and certain vows recited. The reception was also an alcohol free event.
We opted for a simple yellow gold band as neither of us are very jewellery-tolerant! Plus, it signifies simplicity, loyalty and beauty which is very much like our relationship.
Flowers were the biggest feature at our wedding. We went for a classic theme of ivory, champagne, and dusty pink, predominantly with roses and peonies.
My beautiful mother made our wedding cake as a gift. She decorated it with fresh roses that suited our theme.
Our wedding venue, Kings Park is one of the most beautiful places in Perth, in the middle of a national park and set against the Perth city skyline. The restaurant itself was exactly what we needed; large but intimate, with a stunning view of the city.
How ridiculously gorge? And what a beautiful bride, I am so in love with her Grace Kelly inspired gown and style. I’m loving the classic and timeless feel of this wedding too and isn’t Hazel a real talent! On that note I have a little message from Hazel for all you lovely WTW readers…
