1930s Influenced Wedding: Black, White & Aubergine

Chris and I married on the 31st March, 2011 at Botleys Mansion in Surrey. With a joint love for the art deco period and 1930s vintage fashion our modern vintage wedding was born.

I wore a show stopping, backless Jenny Packham wedding dress and the beautiful acacia headpiece fixed with a narrow fitting birdcage veil and 1930s fingerwaves. I dressed my gorgeous bridesmaids in floor length aubergine gowns and a peacock feather headband!

Some of you long term wtw wedding readers may have seen my wedding before :)) but due to tech difficulties I unfortunately, had to delete the original post. Turns out, when blogging your wedding nearly 3 years later, you see it from a completely different angle but nevertheless, it never fails to move me to tears, seeing my love and saying our vows in front of all our nearest and dearest.

Ah the memories! Such an amazing day, it really does bring back all those giddy emotions. For me personally, the best bits of the day were my Dad’s reaction when he first saw me and the unbelievable moment of seeing Chris waiting for me at the end of the aisle… *goosebumps*
