Beautiful florals! Delicate, whimsical and super pretty or big, bright and statement bold. I just love ’em. In 2014, wedding inspiration is all about making a floral statement, and not just with your wedding flowers!

This can extend to your dress, the stationery and of course your wedding cake. Take a look at this beautiful collection of wedding cakes by Rosalind Miller and tell me you didn’t just fall totally in love with her gorgeous, floral couture collection.

Inspired by sumptuous floral textiles and couture gowns, the new collection marries elements of high fashion with quintessential ‘English Country Garden’ florals in modern wedding cake designs.

Ruffled Flowers

“The ruffled pink flowers on a Marchesa gown struck me as so romantic and nostalgic, that I wanted to make similar ruffled sugar flowers as the focal point of this wedding cake design.”

Golden Meadows

“This design uses tiny meadow flowers wrapped around the cake like floral hair garlands. I wanted to create something beautiful and whimsical, and it really reminds me of a Mid-Summer Night’s Dream.”

Blue Meadow

“I was inspired by a Chanel piece with powder blue meadow flowers. I incorporated embellished embroidery with beading as seen on lots of gowns and wedding dresses recently.”

Silver Sprigs

“This design along with Golden Meadows was inspired by using florals in a different and non-traditional way. Silver Sprigs is inspired by delicate wild flowers.”

Embroidered Flowers

“I fell in love with a Giambattista Valli dress with embroidered flowers and vines and wanted to create something similar on my cake but using subtle dusty pinks and greens.”

Spring Blooms

“This cake was simply inspired by some of my favourite flowers – Roses and Peonies – in fresh bright spring colours.”

English Country Garden

“I wanted to mirror the wild abundant arrangement of flowers in my own garden at home, and create the effect of an English country garden in full bloom.”

I particularly love the modern metallics with the sweet and delicate flower appliques, but I’m also all kinds of in love with the bold statement beautiful of the english country garden!
