What inspired you to design bridesmaid dresses?
A wedding holds a special place in my heart because it’s such an important and emotional day. I love to design dresses that make women feel good about themselves, especially when they’ll be standing in front of hundreds of people. You should feel just as fabulous as you look!
How are LHC Couture designs different from other bridesmaid lines?
For starters, our dresses are made from a silky jersey material called Venezia. It’s a nylon/spandex blend that’s insanely silky and soft. Right off the bat, you feel how comfortable our dresses are.
Almost every dress has an elastic waist band. This increases comfort, as well as often cuts down on alterations. Many times the only altering needed is hemming. Our dresses save bridesmaids a good chunk of change!
Why choose jersey material over the typical satin, charmeuse or chiffon?
Aside from comfort, which is a huge factor, I love jersey because it’s a fresh fabric for the bridal industry. Designer ready-to-wear
collections have been using jersey materials for years but it’s sort of unknown in our industry.
On top of that, it’s actually particularly flattering on most body types. I know that’s contrary to popular belief, but fabrics with a weighted drape, like jersey has, give the body a longer, leaner line. It also feels very luxurious.

What trends do you see for bridesmaids this year?
Ombre is a huge trend which will continue to grow. Whether it’s using a color gradient for each of your bridesmaids dresses, or
incorporating accessories in different shades of the same color, this trend is here to stay for a while.
I’m also seeing a push towards more simple designs. It looks like clean, classic styles are pulling ahead of the busier ones.
What’s your favorite style from your current collection?
It’s hard to choose just one, but I’d have to say Taylor Rose. Taylor is very unique with her double rope straps, but also very subtle. It’s an elegant look with just a touch of boho.
Can you share any insight to upcoming collections?
You’ll definitely continue to see our signature rope details. It’s one of our iconic details of the line. You’ll also see some designs that incorporate other simple details that add just a hint of couture feel.
We haven’t done a true sweetheart neckline yet, but you’ll see that soon.
