A rose is a classically British flower, one of nature’s embellishments and a symbol of romance throughout the ages. It serves this season as a reflection of the brand new collection and also a nod to Ellis’s illustrious history – name checking Rose Ellis one of the founding members of the label back in the 1950s. She serves as a constant inspiration for Ellis guiding the brand and keeping it true to its artisanal roots.
The Rose Collection is a diverse range created in-line with the leading trends of 2015 with that signature Ellis dedication to handcrafted embroidery. This seasons dresses have been crafted with a more contemporary edge introducing fabrics from soft crushed chiffon through to striking Mikado.
The modern tone of the collection is complemented by a variety of subtle texturing, with layered vintage lace and sumptuous tulle giving brides a romantic flourish to their gown. Lace has been given special attention this season bringing in rich Chantilly and French guipure. This attention to detail emerges into a selection of dresses hinting at 1920’s elegance with delicate embellishments and soft, flowing lines.
Ellis’s signature craft for detailed backs continues with plunging lines portraiting delicate beading in fine crystals and sequins.
