White Floral Wedding With Stunning Floral Embellished Wedding Dress: Elise & Julian
This sensationally pretty wedding will have your heart all aflutter! Elise & Julian’s timeless and modern big day was an elegant affair with a heavy emphasis on their beautiful white and green floral arrangements.
Whilst the bridesmaids looked gorge in long flowing pink gowns, Elise stole the show in her jaw dropping floral embellished Steven Khalil wedding gown. This is one dress and wedding you will not forget.
Our floral arrangements were absolutely amazing! I’ve seen our florists previous works before and have always been in love. My wedding planner helped me a lot with organising our reception arrangement, but I knew I wanted a colour palette of white and green to compliment the gorgeous decor at Carousel.
We went for white peonies in our bridal bouquets, our hanging arrangements had ferns, orchids, white gerberas and our table arrangements had orchids, open roses, peonies and tulips.
My wedding dress was by Steven Khalil, a local designer in Melbourne. I pretty much knew what I wanted as soon as I started gown searching. Something slim fitting, a mermaid style and something sexy but still elegant. However, my favourite thing about this dress was the amazing embellishments!
The whole dress was covered in an adornment of pearls in a floral arrangement. This was definitely the part that made me fall head over heels in love with it!
St Ignatius Church to us was the most impressive ceremony venue in the whole city! Its façade was something out of a fairytale, and inside it was even more beautiful.
There were these gorgeous high ceilings and beautiful stained glass windows, it was traditional and just completely AMAZING! So it was a given that we have our ceremony there.
My Father gave me away…
Our wedding photographer Blumnthal Photography gave us gorgeous photographs that are completely natural and organic! They’re also so wonderful at utilising outdoor lighting regardless of the weather conditions.
For our reception, we wanted something that was impressive, but something that was more on the modern side. Carousel on Albert Park Lake has a gorgeous ‘Bel Air’ type feel, it’s décor is so slick and quite understated with a white colour palette which was great because it meant that we could use our floral arrangements to decorate in any way we wanted.
Our wedding planner provided us with so much inspiration to style our venue! We took so many details from her previous works which I just couldn’t help but fall in love with.
Our cake was a four tier white chocolate sponge cake with rasberry filling, chantilly creme, a vanilla fondant outer and peonies on top. As wedding favours we provided custom chocolates and sweets bags from The Candy Buffet Company.
My advice to brides and grooms to be would be to honestly, get a wedding planner. Even if your budget isn’t huge go for a small package or get a few consultations. They make such a difference!
It’s not just your wedding day that’s meant to be a long lasting enjoyable memory but the planning should be as well so it’s no use doing it all by yourself and stressing over silly little things. They also have professional relationships with so many vendors so they will also end up saving you some costs.
Our most memorable moment would definitely have to be getting down on the dancefloor at the end of the day! It was so much fun being able to really unwind and have all of our closest friends and families there.
I think I saw some of the funniest dance moves I’ve ever witnessed that night.
What a beautiful and timeless wedding! Loving all those magnificent floral arrangements, and of course that Steven Khalil wedding dress. You?
