Industrial, Crystal Chic Styled Bridal Shoot: Cool Copper & Romantic Rose Quartz!

“A soft, feminine inspiration shoot with a modernised twist. Rose Quartz, Copper details, geometric shapes and contemporary bridal wear, teamed with luscious florals and complimented by a cool industrial style wedding venue.” That’s how this shoot was described to me by talented wedding stylist and planner Hannah of Hannah Charlotte Weddings.

100% living up to the hype! Hannah and the team pulled off a super inspirational styled bridal shoot that you are just gonna be all over.

The Venue

With its crisp white walls, exposed metal beams, light filled windows and quirky features, The West Reservoir Centre was the perfect setting for this modern industrial inspiration shoot. Mixing cool copper accents with a soft pretty palette of greys and rose quartz; we wanted chic, stylish and modern.

The Flowers

Our florist Catherine, of Catherine Short Floral Design, was wonderful to work with on the shoot. The mix of eucalyptus, soft anemones and classic blush roses created the prettiest bouquet for our bride. The soft combination of florals running through the design, with a luscious chunky foliage runner that perfectly complimented the rose quartz crystals. The simple copper piping installation adorned with greenery and florals set before the industrial back drop created the perfect ceremonial arch.

The Bridal Look

Our bride wore beautiful contemporary pieces from Morgan Davies Bridal. For the first look we teamed natural make up and braided hair with a gorgeous flowing two-piece to touch on the feminine side of the shoot. We then changed up the skirt for a champagne and ivory lace number for that elegant twist.

Our second look was more edgy and high fashion with an ultra-cool jumpsuit, big copper hair paired with a smoky eye and dark lip – perfect for the creative modern bride. Crystal style jewellery from The Folly Boutique completed both looks.

The Décor

Our aim for the shoot was to put a quirky modern twist on an otherwise soft and feminine look. One of Pantone’s colour of the year, Rose Quartz was a big influence on the design for this shoot. We used it quite literally with big chunks of the gorgeous blush crystals. Copper was featured heavily in the design, from the cool tolix café chairs and retro trolley from Hire It, to the cutlery and the copper piping candlesticks and ceremonial arch.

Inspired by the shape of the crystals, we used stunning copper terrariums and jewellery display to incorporate geometrics into the design. Lauren of Oh Wonder Calligraphy also carried this through in the stationery, creating a simple geometric suite. With a copper ink border and modern calligraphy, the design is effortless.

The Film

Bai & Elle also managed to capture a wonderful behind-the- scenes film as a lasting memory of an amazing team and all-round epic shoot.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful wedding inspiration. We are loving its feminine and cool vibe. Credits for the talented vendors below.
