Glamorous & Ethereal Wedding Stationery: Champagne & Mermaids Collection by Tiny Card Company
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to a talented wedding stationery designer today and their glamorous and ethereal stationery collection for 2016/2017.
The Tiny Card Company have put their heart and soul into this inspired by the sea collection. Champagne and Mermaids mixes modern metallics with elegant typography to appeal to brides and grooms looking for an elegant stationery suite…
Champagne & Mermaids Collection
At once glamorous and ethereal, the Champagne & Mermaids collection draws inspiration from Gustav Klimt’s dreamlike ‘Water Serpents’ series and the old-school elegance of Hollywood starlets. A grown-up palette of watery tones and star-lit metallics combines with hand-drawn elements and carefully considered typography in a beautifully crafted collection of wedding stationery.
The idea for the Champagne and Mermaids collection was bouncing around in my head (and on Pinterest) for quite some time. The stationery I wanted to create was delicately glamorous. I had in mind a whimsical bride who adores the sea, feels the romance of a rugged and deserted stretch of autumnal coastline; who would wear cashmere over her stunning beaded gown for wedding portraits in breathtaking scenery.
The collection draws on a disparate mix of influences, at once glamorous and ethereal: Klimt’s Water Serpents, misty sea shores, shimmering mermaid scales, and a sprinkling of vintage sequins and stardust. A grown-up palette of watery tones and star-lit metallics pulls everything together.
About The Tiny Card Company
There’s nothing lovelier than opening an envelope to find something that FEELS beautiful. Before you’ve even had a chance to look at it properly, to read the words, the gorgeously thick card between your thumb and finger tells you it’s special.
The Tiny Card Company started with a wedding. Our wedding, in fact. Throughout my training in textile design I’d always had a bit of a thing for beautiful paper, so making all of our wedding stationery seemed the obvious thing to do. I spent my spare time obsessing over fonts and set my sewing machine to work on paper instead of fabric. A tiny seed was sown…
Given time, that tiny seed has grown. Now I spend my time creating beautiful paper goods to help couples announce and celebrate one of life’s most precious moments.
Screen-printing by hand the kind of wedding stationery that inspires squeals of excitement and holds joyful memories for a lifetime.
