“I love an eclectic style, taking the best of what you love and making it your own, but also making it coherent. Tropical prints exploded everywhere last year, but a full-on tropical theme isn’t suited to many of our British venues.

The concept of this shoot was the blending of the tropics with an English Country Garden theme, making the persisting trend more accessible to British brides. Tropical leaves, orchids, lotus pods (gilded, of course!) and ornamental pink pineapples were blended with spray roses (a variety aptly named ‘Barbados’), peonies and jasmine.

This shoot was a dream to style, thanks to the fabulous furniture, accessories and prop contributions of Hire Love, and the sequin tablecloth, sugar swizzlers and ceramic pineapple from The Sweet Part Shop.”

“The aim of this shoot was to bring a tropical inspiration to the UK, so I went for all the light, lush backgrounds I could find, and a nice warm edit for a tropical feel.”

“The hem of the Nisha Dress which was used in the shoot features a bright & colourful, hand drawn and photographic inky print made up of lotus flowers which were captured in Thailand last year; which fit the theme perfectly.

The strapless structured bodice in warm golden tones and the light feel of the silk chiffon skirt blended all that would be needed for a wedding outfit with a tropical vibe.”

“This gorgeous shoot was all about vibrant tropical and softly muted colours which beautifully entwined. So for the hair and makeup, I decided on a soft colour palette for the makeup with pops of pinks to continue elements of the mood board through.

I created a flawless base, defined the eyes with fine eyeliner with a subtle enhancement to the lashes. For the blush, I used a pretty pink blush and a wash of highlighter on the cheekbones. To complete the look I used a delicious pink lipstick and clear gloss for that added pout! For the hair, I worked waves

To complete the look I used a delicious pink lipstick and clear gloss for that added pout! For the hair, I worked waves into the hair to create movement and softness which looked so pretty with the delicate floral in the hair.”

“I used flamingoes and exotic flowers as my inspiration for the tropical theme of this shoot. Blending elegant curves in contrasting textures of the same beautiful pink.

Continuing this element down the slim heels. Extending the back of the shoe up the leg to represent the elegant long necks of the flamingo. Finished off with a handmade flower at the ankle.”

“For the cake I wanted the flowers to speak for themselves and to show that you can have fun with your theme!

Keeping the icing plain white and finished with a simple silk ribbon, I went big and bold with the handcrafted tropical sugar flowers, experimenting with flowers and colours outside the wedding norm: pink hibiscus, orange gardenia, pale pink bauhinia and yellow frangipani with a few wafer paper gold leaves.”

Thanks to all the wonderful wedding suppliers below that shared this tropical inspired wedding shoot. They certainly had me at Aloha ;)
