Wedding Dress Trends 2014

Hello wedding lovers! I’m rather excited to share with you today my Wedding Dress Trends for 2014! Last year was all about the statement or illusion backed wedding dress, and what an amazingly beautiful bridal trend that was.

This year the focus is still on the back of your dress and you will see lots of pretty designs still featuring the portrait, the illusion and the statement backs. But now… now we are seeing lots of jaw-dropping wedding dresses featuring the dramatic back or the detailed back. One word. Wowzers.

So first off, we have the dramatic back. a.k.a. the sexy back… Grrr! Go get ’em girl.

This dress is pretty and sexy at the same time!

The dress on the left has a slightly more demure look, the dramatic back is still low, low, low but less figure hugging with a more floaty bohemian vibe. I absolutely adore the statement bows on the dress on the right too. Totally chic!

The following dresses are moving towards the delicate and pretty realm. This see through lace back is ultra dreamy!

And pretty criss cross backs feature prominently too!

The last of my dresses in the dramatic back trend is so, so gorgeous. Look at the delicate lace and low back combo. Super romantic huh, and a little bit sexy too ;)

My next featured wedding dress trend of 2014 is also a biggy! Sleeves. Long sleeves, lace sleeves, sheer sleeves, silk sleeves, three quarter length sleeves… I’m a total sucker for them, and I think you will be too!

I love these ultra long, sheer sleeves, so elegant!

This Jenny Packham, three-quarter length, silk sleeved dress is so classy!

Another beautiful wedding dress trend is the intricately beaded wedding gown. From just a small smattering to full on beaded gorgeousness! Loving the sparkle beads in the gown below. Adorbs!

Ornamental applique sewn on to wedding dresses feature heavily in 2014. From delicate pieces of exquisitely lovely lace to bold floral patterns and pretty motifs… utterly divine!

A very stylish trend this year is accessorising black accents with either your wedding dress or apparel. I love the black tie around this pretty, silver sequined wedding gown!

Black doesn’t have to be urban either, these black sashes are incredibly romantic!

Want to rock your gorgeous pins? For the fun and flirty among you, short wedding dresses are on the style rise this year. Wear your shortie for the ceremony, or if you want a traditional longer gown for the day, just change it up for your reception do.

So that’s my gorgeous line up for wedding dress trends in 2014. Aren’t they just amazing?! It’s so hard to choose what my favourite looks are right now, today I’m totally crushing on those gorgeous long lace sleeves, but tomorrow well, who knows…
