Relaxed English Garden Style Wedding With A Bride In A Blush Gown
Oooo you’re gonna love today’s real wedding. It’s a totally relaxed affair with lots and lots of pretty, English garden style wild flowers. The bride chose an elegant, lace embellished, Phase 8, blush wedding gown and carried a gorgeous bunch of pale pink astilbe, hand tied with lovely lace…

From day one I knew I didn’t want a traditional wedding dress. I stumbled upon this Phase 8 wedding gown whist out shopping with my Mum (not looking for a dress) and I loved it from the moment I saw it.
For my maids, I chose Ariella bridesmaid dresses in Mint. The dresses were made from chiffon and had a pretty ruched waist detail. I purchased these from House of Frasier.
I am very lucky to have two dads – my step-father Des and my father Richard who both walked me down the aisle to ‘Here Comes The Bride’.
We didn’t really have any inspiration for our wedding, we just wanted a relaxed day.
Our florist created our flowers with an elegant English Garden theme in mind.
We borrowed a friends wedding decor so there were lots of glass jars covered in lace and hemp and placed on lace table cloths. We also had fruit pallets and wicker hearts.
Our wedding photographer- Ilaria Petrucci, and her second shooter, were wonderful and very friendly. The wedding day was very relaxed and being photographed was made easy! Her style is very fresh and native – which fit with our desires for the day. We were utterly impressed.
Any words of wisdom for future brides?
Keep calm & accept help and ideas.
And your most memorable moment from the day?
Entering into the church and seeing Toby at the alter and walking down the aisle…
I love this lovely relaxed English wedding so much! Thanks for sharing your big day Lorna and Toby, and I love that you followed your heart Lorna and wore the beautiful blush wedding dress you wanted.
Massive thanks to Ilaria Petrucci Photography for sharing this elegant, yet relaxed wedding with the blog!
