‘Through the Flowers’ Spring 2016 Bridal and Accessories Collection by Ivy & Aster
Bridal separates and floral bomber jackets? This is my kind of wedding dress collection!
#Field to Fancy ‘Through the Flowers’ Spring 2016 Bridal and Accessories Collection by Ivy & Aster is a collection comprising super feminine gowns with pretty floral accents, romantic hues and delicate illusion detailing.
Imagine taking a stroll through the most lovely of gardens and a dream-filled wedding taking place among the flowers.
This is the vision that the Spring 2016 collection hopes to create for the next round of brides-to-be this coming year.
Ivy & Aster presents their latest creations to press and buyers from around the globe at Pier 92 during New York International Bridal Week.
Acknowledged for its romantic-meets-bohemian style, Ivy & Aster dreams up gowns and dresses for every bride’s personal fairy tale.
The independent, free-spirited line draws inspiration from wistful storytelling; its namesake represents the tale of two young girls, Ivy and Aster, imagining their own wedding days.
With its ever-changing creative view on bridal, this season Ivy & Aster embarks on a very special and unique collaboration with Kristy Rice of Momental Designs.
Ivy & Aster models presented silk and lace creations with two special dresses and one jacket separate featuring a custom watercolor print silk chiffon with flowers painted by Kristy Rice.
The fabric features bouquets of roses and foliage in soft blush, rose and peach highlighted with mint leaves. Designer Jessica Brown contacted Rice after meeting her several years prior during bridal fashion week. Brown says she always remained a fan of Rice’s work and felt there was a wonderful opportunity to bring her amazing work to life in the form of a floral painting on a bride’s dress.
“We are thrilled to offer brides such a unique option for her dress, it is like wearing a floral bouquet but in a soft and subtle way,” founder and designer Jessica Brown says. “Our collection is inspired by all things floral and the beauty that flowers symbolize in weddings, so why not be adventurous and let your dress also speak the ‘Language of Flowers’?
Ivy & Aster brides know what makes them feel beautiful and these dresses will let the bride be radiant on her wedding day.”
With a nod toward current bridal and ready to wear trends the bridal gowns showcased low backs, a bomber jacket separate, lots of sheer sleeves, flowing skirts, illusion necklines and backs and subtle colors as well as all of the signature Ivy & Aster fabrics: Silk chiffon, silk organza, tulle, and lace.
Special hand picked laces were chosen this season specifically to play on the floral garden theme of #Field to Fancy. Accessories of floral themed beading and hand rolled flowers completed the looks.
Based in Atlanta, GA, Ivy & Aster is a collection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses born from happiness, laughter, and love.
With a meticulous desire to perfect the details, Ivy & Aster designs with flowing femininity, sprinkles in sweet simplicity, and adds a dash of whimsy to create dresses that tell the story of your wedding day.
Both bridal and social Ivy & Aster collections are available in retailers throughout the US, as well as internationally in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Russian Federation, Lithuania, China, and Canada.
