Rachel & Fraser had a sunny yellow and blue themed destination wedding on the breathtaking island of Santorini. Their wedding decor included fun sunflowers and beachy inspired starfish decor.
Rachel’s stunning bridal gown was a slinky Amanda Wakeley number and her bridesmaids wore convertable twobirds dresses in sunny yellow and cobalt blue!

I tried on several dresses in Amanda Wakeley and the ‘African’ collection suited a beach wedding perfectly. I tried it on and just knew it was the one.
Fraser wore a black tuxedo and crisp white shirt from Hugo Boss. His boutonierrie was a starfish from etsy.
We wanted a bright contrasting theme and chose sunflowers and blue flowers throughout. We wanted to offset the sunset and sea. We went to see the florist in person on a trip to Santorini in May 2014 and spent time discussing my theme and ideas to create a bespoke package for me.
My bridesmaids wore Two Birds dresses, the 4 maids in Royal Blue and my maid of honour in Golden Yellow.
‘How long will I love you’ by Ellie Goulding. Other music also included – ‘somewhere over the rainbow’, ‘songbird’ and ‘your song’ (sung by two of my close friends with backing equipment).
We met playing hockey in London, two years before moving to Dubai. Fraser proposed to me in Dubai.
Vangelis and his team were excellent wedding photographers, they were very professional and we loved their results. Very easy to work with.
We fell in love with the our wedding venue Rocabella at first sight – the views are to die for and the service and wedding team are superb. I’d always visited the Greek Islands as a child and love the food, scenery and weather.
We decorated our welcome table with an “I do” made of seashells, lanterns, candles, starfish, a wedding guest book and photo of my grandparents on their wedding day. We also decorated each place setting with a starfish with blue ribbon to match the ‘blue’ theme.
If you could impart any words of wisdom to a future brides planning their wedding day, what would they be?
Be as creative and original as possible. This is your special day and you only get to do it once! Make it magical. Once all the planning is done, relax and take in every minute of the day – it flies by so fast!
