Boudoir… Oh, Boudoir: A Sensual & Sexy Bridal Editorial
Boudoir… oh, boudoir
Our favourite aspect of bridal boudoir is its celebration of a bride’s magnificence and contentment. It is truly special to document that “in love” emotional state that brides emit on their wedding day.
Makeup artist Frances Moore dreamt up this sunlit morning boudoir shoot. that took place at the beautiful, bijou Master Builders Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire. With an added pop of pretty pink and peach from the feminine florals by Jo Hicks. We know you will enjoy the romantic beauty of this boudoir bridal shoot captured so effortlessly by Ikonworks Photography.
“You know what’s really, powerfully sexy? A sense of humour. A taste for adventure. A healthy glow. Hips to grab on to. Openness. Confidence. Humility. Appetite. Intuition. … Smart-ass comebacks. Presence. A quick wit. Dirty jokes told by an innocent-looking lady. … A storyteller. A genius. A doctor. A new mother. A woman who realises how beautiful she is”. ~ Courtney E. Martin
Creating a sexy look for Jess was so very simple – using gorgeous lingerie from British couture designer, Pompadour. The designer Georgia has an ability to create the most femininely chic trousseau pieces. Perfect for any bride, regardless of her shape. Her bespoke service is brilliant for those figure-flattering pieces.
Palma by La Sposa defined the unique and confident style of the bride we chose to portray in the shoot. The wedding dress is a mermaid design in lace, with a combined tulle overskirt. The high neckline with its contrasting illusion back creates a very sensual wedding gown indeed. The centre slit adding to its allure and sexiness.
C l a s s i c – “My favourite kind of makeup design is always a classic look. Timeless and oh so flattering, just perfect to take you from ceremony to boudoir” ~ Frances Moore
From the photographer:
There is something alluring about the natural beauty of women. We really were a giggling group of women, happy in each others company during the shoot. Demonstrative of why we love working together.
We had so much fun shooting this editorial, but it would and should be exactly the same shooting something like this for a real bride too. Someone passing below the window I am sure would have wondered what on earth was going on!
Creating something intensely feminine, honouring the vision Frances had was so important. Images showing strength, grace, and of course complete passion. Personally, I am thrilled with how it all came together, and how sensational Jess looks.
The effortlessly tousled, relaxed hairstyles created by Tori, match the stunning makeup looks created by Frances. They really are a fabulous Hampshire team. The airy pink, peach and palest blue lingerie is perfect alongside Ophelia and Gabriella. The stylish wedding day Rachel Simpson, “Cinderella moment” shoes.
We hope by creating something this elegant, and evocative will inspire brides. It shows how a boudoir shoot can be the perfect pre-wedding adventure for any woman. Making sure you have the right team supporting you is, however, paramount.
Booking something like this will give you images sure to make you feel a million percent beautiful and confident. They are also a pretty damn perfect present for your partner.
Best wishes, and thanks to Sonia for featuring this gorgeous shoot. We appreciate your support always.
