Stylish & Trendy Black & White Wedding in Thai Villa: Emily & Matt

In All, Chic, Destination, Modern, Real Wedding

It was love at first sight when I saw my two-piece wedding gown! I wanted something “out of the box” to match with the very unique inspiration of my wedding theme and the idea of a precious jewel-encrusted bodysuit with a simple a-line skirt was perfect.

Words by Emily.

Our priority was having something stylish when it came to the flowers, and Wedding Boutique Phuket designed something unique for us. We wanted a modern minimal circular altar arch and they decorated it with pampas grass, white tropical flowers, roses and palm leaves.

The flowers I loved the most were the white and black anemone they used for the bouquet and centrepieces together with white protea. Very special!

Wedding Boutique Phuket designed for us a modern stylish wedding theme in white, black, greenery and gold colours. They used signs, lanterns, frames, candle holders, and every little décor in these colours.

My Dad ‘gave me away’ and we walked down the aisle to ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ by Haley Reinhart.

We met nearly 6 years ago, at a beach bar in Pacific Beach, San Diego, California called Shore Club.

We both love to travel and didn’t want to have a large wedding in San Diego where we both live. We wanted to have an adventure and bring our favourite people with us to celebrate.

I had never been to Thailand before, and Matt had only been briefly in the Navy. We wanted to go somewhere tropical and exotic, but that also had a lot of things to do, and Phuket seemed like the perfect option.

After emailing several wedding planners in Phuket, Ilaire responded immediately and offered so many ideas that helped shape my vision for our wedding. I am still in awe of how WBP was able to take a collection of ideas and photos and bring them to life better than I ever could have imagined.

My first piece of advice for wedding planning would be to get a wedding planner! And my second piece of advice would be to not sweat the little things.

I was so afraid of the weather ruining our wedding, and it was so hot that everyone was sweating through their clothes. But the day before, I just told everyone to bring their swimsuits, and our elegant, intimate wedding turned into an amazingly fun pool party after dinner and dancing.

It was still perfect. And lastly, don’t forget to enjoy the process, and the wedding, its all over too quickly!

Wow, what super stylish day!? The little touches that make up the look seem endless but work so well together. I’m sure anyone reading this, currently planning their day, will realise the effort that has gone into all of this!
