Under The Floral Spell Wedding Décor Inspiration at Wotton House, Surrey
Wedding Décor Inspiration
Wedding décor inspiration that’s classically elegant and sophisticated, told through an abundance of florals, paired with modern and delicate table styling.
The concept for this shoot was to create wedding inspiration and décor inspired by flowers. Using a neutral colour palette with shades of pink and white, we created an elegantly romantic pillar arch that’s modern yet timeless and forms the perfect backdrop for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. Filled with an abundance of luxury silk flowers, it’s almost impossible to distinguish from the real thing.
To define and create the illusion of an aisle, concrete planters were filled with roses, rose spray, wax flowers, ranunculus and delphiniums. The varying heights of the flowers added texture and contrast to the pillar arch, complementing the pillar arch and table centrepieces.
We kept the table florals minimalist in style, with tall gold vases filled with delphiniums in varying shades of pink. Elegant gold candlesticks and gold-rimmed bud vases added interest and contrast to the tall centrepieces and tied the floral look together without being overwhelming.
The table place settings were sophisticated and elegant with touches of gold accents. Gold rimmed charges were paired with delicate hand-crafted white china with scalloped edges and beaded designs, coupe champagne glasses and wine glasses featured gold rims and the gold cutlery added a modern touch.
Picking up the shades of pink in the flowers, linen napkins completed the look, with simple printed menus and handwritten place cards featuring gold calligraphy.
An elegant and sophisticated three-tier cake made a statement, with handmade sugar avalanche and o’hara roses and eucalyptus with bas-relief details. We displayed the cake on a table surrounded by a gorgeous floral table drop.
Some tips for achieving this look:
If you’re opting for statement flowers for your ceremony, keep your reception flowers simple, and vice versa. Keeping one part of your wedding simple in décor not only adds interest for your guests but complements your other design decisions
Using an accent colour such as gold or silver adds some luxury without being over the top.
Be mindful of the venue and opt for colours that enhance and complement the space. With so much greenery surrounding the ceremony space, the pillar arch was more floral forward with less greenery.
What an incredibly pretty shoot. I for one, adore all of these beautiful florals and did not guess that silk flowers had been incorporated into the setup!
